fun with Google

August 4, 2008

I think that Google has the potential of being the Magic 8 Ball of our time.  Although typing and pressing “Enter” are not quite as satisfying as shaking the crap out of a water-filled plastic ball, it will never tell you to “try again later.”

Here are the results when I asked Google some major life questions:

Should I stay?: 36,200,000
Should I go?: 754,000,000
I guess if you are having to ask this question the answer is obvious.

Should I lie?: 12,900,000
Should I tell the truth?: 22,000,000
Score one for the truth!

Paper?: 653,000,000
Plastic?: 299,000,000
Even Google has gone green.

Shaken?: 15,600,000
Stirred?: 14,200,000
Of course, Bond got it right.

Bottle of red?: 47,800,000
Bottle of white?: 53,000,000
Whatever kind of mood you’re in tonight . . .

Fear the reaper?: 3,100,000
Don’t fear the reaper?: 2,460,000
Despite Blue Oyster Cult’s urging, looks like most still fear the reaper.

And when all else fails, just Google “cutest kitten in the world” and that should solve most of your problems for the day.

easiest decision I’ve ever made

January 17, 2008

Election year can be a bit daunting, especially when there is no incumbent and a slew of candidates from each party that you have barely heard of.   I’ve done my research, I know my stance on the hot-button issues and have weighed the pros and cons.  Finally, I believe I’ve found a candidate that I can support with a clear conscience.
